Tiger Brittle Star (Ophiactis sp.) Care
These starfish are carnivores and scavengers and should get most of their dietary requirements from detritus and scraps they can find in the tank. You can provide supplemental food like mysis and brine shrimp and small pieces of fresh and frozen seafood.
They can reach up to 4″ and require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock and a good sand bed.
NOTE: These sea stars are very sensitive to changes in salinity so acclimation should be done very slowly.
