Dalmation Linkia Star – Red (Linkia multiflora) Care
The Dalmation Linkia Star – Red, Linkia multiflora, is also known as the Red Linckia, Mottled Linkia, Red Spotted Starfish, and the Red Linkia Dalmation. These sea stars come from the Indo-Pacific region. They have a white-tan body with red spots and blotches on the body and arms.
They are omnivores and do best in a well-established aquarium with plenty of algae, detritus, and organic matter for them to feed on. Their food can be supplemented with algae pellets.
Dalmation Linckia Sea Star’s can grow up to 12″ and require an aquarium of at least 75 gallons with plenty of live rock and a deep sand bed. They are peaceful and will not harm corals, fish nor other invertebrates.
NOTE: These sea stars are very sensitive to changes in salinity and water parameters so acclimation should be done very slowly.
