Spider Decorator Crab (Camposcia retusa) Care
The Spider Decorator Crab, Camposcia retusa, come from the Indo-Pacific region. These interesting crabs cruise around the tank picking of pieces of shells, rocks, sponges, algae, pieces of soft coral, etc. and places them on their body as camouflage.
They are nocturnal carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp, high-quality meaty frozen foods and small pieces of fresh seafood.
They require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding. They are considered semi-aggressive because they will injure corals while collecting items to decorate their bodies.
