Transparent Cave Goby (Fusigobius pallidus) Care

Overview

The Transparent Cave Goby, Fusigobius pallidus, is also known as the Pale Sandgoby. These fish come from the Indo-West Pacific region. The body has a translucent appearance with a number of white and orange spots.

These gobies are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp and other types of fresh or frozen chopped seafood.

Transparent Cave Gobies require an aquarium of 10 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for hiding and a deep sand bed. They are known to jump and will leap out of tanks without a lid. They are peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish.

They are reef safe and will not bother corals, fish, but will eat tiny invertebrates.
