Red Spotted Goby (Trimma rubromaculatus) Care
The Red Spotted Goby, Trimma rubromaculatus, is also known as the Red-spotted Dwarf Goby and the Red Jewel Goby. These fish come from the Western Pacific Ocean. These small fish have a bright red and white mottled body.
These gobies are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp and other types of fresh or frozen chopped seafood.
Red Spotted Gobies require an aquarium of 30 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for hiding and a deep sand bed. They are known to jump and will leap out of tanks without a lid. They are peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish.
They are reef safe and will not bother corals, fish, but will eat tiny invertebrates.
