Railway Glider Goby (Valenciennea helsdingenii) Care
The Railway Glider Goby, Valenciennea helsdingenii, is also known as the Twostripe Goby and the Railway Sleeper Goby. These fish come from the Indo-West Pacific region. They have a white body with two long horizontal stripes that run the length of their entire body.
These gobies are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp and other types of fresh or frozen chopped seafood.
Railway Glider Gobies require an aquarium of 30 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for hiding and a deep sand bed. They are known to jump and will leap out of tanks without a lid. They are peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish.
They are reef safe and will not bother corals, fish, but will eat tiny invertebrates.
