Citron Goby (Gobiodon citrinus) Care
The Citron Goby, Gobiodon citrinus, is also known as the Poison Goby and the Citron Clown Goby. These fish come from the Indo-West Pacific region. They have a round shaped head and are a bright yellow color with blue markings around the eye, gill plate and on the bottom of the dorsal fin.
These fish are a great fish for beginners.
Clown gobies are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp and other types of fresh or frozen chopped seafood.
The Citron Clown Goby requires an aquarium of 10 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for hiding. They are known to jump and will leap out of tanks without a lid. They are peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish. The mucus on the fish is toxic.
They are reef safe and will not bother corals, fish, but will eat tiny invertebrates.
