Black Ice Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) Care
The Black Ice Ocellaris Clownfish is a variation of the Amphiprion ocellaris Genus. They have an orange body with three white body stripes that are exaggerated and have irregular shapes and patterns. The stripes are always different from one Black Ice Ocellaris Clownfish to another. These fish are captive-bred and are very hardy in aquariums.
Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet rich in both meaty and plant foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp, marine algae, and flake food. They love their food and may be aggressive when it comes to sharing with other tankmates.
The Black Ice Clownfish can grow to be about 3″ and can be housed in aquariums as small as 30 gallons. These clownfish are hardy and vary from peaceful to semi-aggressive depending on the fish and the tank environment.
These fish are reef safe and will not bother coral or invertebrates.
