These fish come from across the Indo-Pacific region. They have a orange looking body with iridescent blue and black markings .
Cardinalfish are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood and flake food.
The Flower Cardinal will only grow to about 5″ and can be housed in aquariums as small as 30 gallons with plenty of hiding places. They are best kept in small groups of up to 5 with other non-aggressive fish.
These fish are considered reef safe with caution because they may threaten small fish and invertebrates.
