Rainbow Basslet (Liopropoma fasciatum) Care
The Rainbow Basslet, Liopropoma fasciatum, is also known as the Wrasse Ass Bass. These fish come from throughout the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The body has red, yellow and black horizontal lines.
They are carnivores and should be fed a diet of small meaty foods, such as mysis shrimp, copepods, small marine fish, and other frozen foods.
Rainbow Basslets require an aquarium of a least 100 gallons that have plenty of live rock with hiding places. In nature, these are deep water fish and they prefer lower lighting and are considered reef friendly with caution. They will establish their territory in an aquarium and will defend it when they feel threatened.
