Lemonpeel Angel (Centropyge flavissima) Care
The Lemonpeel Angelfish, Centropyge flavissima, is also known as the True Lemonpeel Angelfish. They are found in the Indo-Pacific region. The body is a bright yellow color with blue edging on the dorsal, pectoral, caudal, anal and tail fins. The eye is encircled by a thin blue line.
These fish are omnivores and primarily eat algae, but can also be given angelfish food and a variety of small meaty foods. The Lemonpeel Angelfish does best in an aquarium that is at least 70 gallons or more and has plenty of live rock to graze on and hide in. These fish do not do well in an aquarium with other angelfish.
They are considered reef safe with caution because they have been known to nip at clam mantles and LPS.
